| Area Pools Open For Residents To Have Summer Fun |

Linn County residents are getting ready to dive into summer with the opening of their community pools in the coming days. La Cygne Located in City Park, 520 S. First St., the community pool will open for the season this Saturday. Hours will be 1 to 7 p.m. daily. The pool will be closed Fourth of July. Admission prices are as follows: 13 and older, $2; 4 to 12, $1.50; 3 and under, free; senior citizens, $1.25. Individual season tickets can be purchased for $45. Family season tickets are $85 for a family of four, with a $5 charge for each additional family member. For information about water aerobics and group swim lessons, as well as hourly fees for private parties, call the pool at (913) 757-2678. Mound City The community pool, located on Main Street near the intersection of Main and Kansas Highway 7, will open for the season June 1. Hours will be 1 to 7 p.m. daily. The daily admission charge is $2. Individual season passes can be obtained for $35, family passes are $70 and senior citizen passes are $30. The charge for aerobics classes is $2, and the group meets at 7:45 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. For more information, call City Hall at (913) 795-2202. Pleasanton The season will run from May 30 through Aug. 16 at the community pool, 504 W. 15th St. Hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On weekends, the pool is open noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission rates are as follows: 18 and older, $2; 11 to 17, $1.50; 4 to 10, 75 cents; 3 and under, free. Single-season passes can be purchased for $35, with a $15 fee for each additional pass. Call Kim at (913) 352-8205 for information.
